Reverty Used Guitars Japan — every instrument inspected, set up, and played before listing. 1977 Aria Pro II Strikin' Sound Stratocaster Type, Large Headstock, Black - Matsumoku Japan A genuine 1970s Japanese S-style guitar from Aria Pro II's Strikin' Sound series, built at the Matsumoku factory in Matsumoto, Japan. The neck plate is stamped "MATSUMOKU" with serial number H771261 and "MADE IN JAPAN", which dates this guitar to 1977. Matsumoku was one of Japan's most respected guitar factories and built Aria Pro II instruments from the 1960s until it closed in 1987. This example has the 1970s-style large headstock with the "Distinguished Custom Body by Matsumoku" decal, Aria Pro II branded sealed tuners, a 3-ply pickguard, and a figured maple neck with a walnut skunk stripe.
