Reverty Used Guitars Japan — every instrument inspected, set up, and played before listing. 1976 Greco EG-420 Les Paul Type - Cherry Sunburst, Made in Japan A genuine Japan-vintage single-cutaway from Greco, built in February 1976 and finished in cherry sunburst over a flame-figured top. This is an example of the early EG series, which used bolt-on neck construction before Greco moved to the set-neck designs of the late 1970s. The EG-420 sits in the early chapter of Greco's Les Paul-style line, following the EG-360, and these early EG models are recognised by their laminated figured tops and bolt-on necks. The dating on this particular guitar is straightforward: Greco's serial format of this period uses a month letter, the last two digits of the year, and a production number, so "B762124" reads as February 1976.
