Seller's description

A lovely Yamaha CPX-15E Compass ‘East Model’ from 1999, finished in an attractive Sandburst, offering a distinctive blend of traditional acoustic character, comfortable playability and Yamaha’s renowned build quality. This example is presented in Very Good condition and has plenty of appeal for anyone looking for a well-made vintage Yamaha electro-acoustic. The CPX-15E features Yamaha’s distinctive medium-jumbo body shape, giving it a comfortable feel while retaining plenty of acoustic presence and projection. Its acoustic voice offers a balanced, full-bodied response, making it a versatile companion for everything from relaxed fingerstyle playing to strummed accompaniment. With its onboard pickup and preamp system, it is also well suited to plugging in for live performance or recording. Cosmetically, the guitar shows some signs of use consistent with its age, including various blemishes to the finish and a number of dings around the body. The satin finish on the neck has also naturally become somewhat glossed over through handling and playing. None of this detracts from its overall appeal, and it remains a great-looking example with plenty of character. The guitar comes complete with an aftermarket Hiscox hardshell case, offering excellent protection when transporting or storing the instrument. As with every new arrival that enters our store, this guitar has passed through the trusted hands of our team in our onsite workshop, where it has been thoroughly inspected and prepared to ensure it is in tip-top shape for its new home and owner.
