A gorgeous rare 2000 Fender Jazz bass deluxe. Excellent, to Mint. No dings. I say it's rare because I haven't seen a 26-year-old bass look this good. Probably the most popular bass used, because they just are pretty much perfect sounding. The only thing I've done to it is put a Graphtech TusQ-nut on it which made a world of difference with sustain, and overall harmonics and sound. It's wild what a nut can do. I don't see a scratch on it. It's all stock, active first generation noiseless pickups which I think are the very best ones (out of fenders noiseless models). I don't know why Fender continuously changes their pickups, I guess the new marketing makes them money. The first generation noiseless pickups are by far the best in my view. The Rosewood is REAL and gorgeous, resonant, and they just simply don't make them like this any longer with the really cheap, baked looking pau ferro stuff. Fender simply makes the new ones look alike, but they definitely don't feel or sound alike. That pau ferro stuff or any other stuff sucks on the fretboard. (They also have cheaper versions of Rosewood species, so when you hear the word Rosewood, it could be a really "cheap species" of it.. This is built like a freaking tank, and not real heavy. Active pickups, takes 9-volt battery. If you play this guitar everyday for a few hours a day, the battery will probably last for an entire year. It takes little to no power. I would probably put a black pick guard on it, I think that would look awesome. The red tortoiseshell is nice, but a 1 ply black pick guard, with one white line around the edge of the pick guard would look killer imo. If you're a Metallica fan this thing sounds great with Metallica songs, like Orion, and Anesthesia- Pulling Teeth, sounds fantastic! Versatile to. What is more versatile than a pender jazz bass when it comes to the bass guitar?Solid Alder body, Rosewood, virtually new smooth nickle frets, stable tuning, perfect neck, Graph Tech nut and black is my favorit
