An Epiphone Ripper bass upgraded with Seymour Duncan SPB-3 (Quarter Pound P-Bass) and SJB-3 (Quarter Pound Jazz Bass) pickups. This model is an Epiphone reissue of the Gibson The Ripper. It features a thin, wide maple body and a maple neck, delivering a punchy sound. While the original features a set-neck joint, this model uses a bolt-on joint, offering excellent value for the price. The pickups are mounted in a PJ configuration, delivering a well-balanced sound. The pickups have been replaced, the nut has been changed to brass, and the tuning machines have been replaced with GROVER models (original screw holes remain). There are signs of wear (such as discoloration, minor scratches and scuffs, scuffs and playing marks, picking marks, darkening along the sides of the fretboard, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage). The included case has some fraying. The guitar was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions; operation has been confirmed up to ±60°.
