Founded in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, in the 1960s, Tokai has built a worldwide reputation for producing high-quality Japanese guitars that combine outstanding craftsmanship with exceptional value. Their vintage-inspired instruments continue to be highly respected by players seeking authentic tone and reliable performance.This KLS101F-LW/SN-2 is a limited-edition model exclusively commissioned by Kurosawa Gakki. Based on Tokai's classic single-cut platform, this special version incorporates six exclusive custom specifications: Slim 1960s-style neck profile Neck set angle revised to 3.8 degrees Bridge pickup repositioned slightly closer to the bridge Push/Pull coil-split function Upgraded HLS pickups SG301-20C Grover-style tuners The guitar features a figured maple veneer over a maple top, paired with a two-piece mahogany body and a one-piece mahogany neck. It is finished in a classic Cherry Sunburst, with a warmer orange center and a more gradual, vintage-inspired burst compared to the standard LS-101 series.The slim neck profile was carefully recreated by measuring an original 1960 vintage guitar, delivering the fast and comfortable feel associated with early-'60s instruments. The neck set angle has also been adjusted from the standard 4.5 degrees to 3.8 degrees to further replicate vintage playing characteristics.Like Tokai's higher-end models, the neck joint is precision-machined using CNC equipment before being individually hand-fitted by skilled craftsmen. The neck fits the body with such precision that it can remain in place without glue before assembly, allowing the use of traditional hide glue construction for superior resonance and tonal transfer.This model is equipped with the same HLS humbuckers found in Tokai's premium HLS series. Compared to the standard GOTOH PAF-Vintage pickups, the HLS pickups offer a softer attack, sweeter highs, and a more vintage-inspired character while maintaining excellent clarity for both clean and overdriven tones.The volume c
