From the listing
Founded in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, in the 1960s, Tokai has earned a worldwide reputation for producing high-quality Japanese guitars that combine exceptional craftsmanship with outstanding value. Their vintage-inspired instruments continue to be highly regarded by players seeking authentic tone, reliable performance, and excellent value. This KLS101F-LW/SN-1 is a premium limited-edition model exclusively commissioned by Kurosawa Gakki. Based on Tokai's classic single-cut design, this special version incorporates four exclusive custom specifications: Slim 1960s-style neck profile Neck set angle revised to 3.8 degrees Bridge pickup repositioned slightly closer to the bridge Push/Pull coil-split function The guitar features a beautifully figured 2-piece flame maple top, a lightweight manufacturer-selected 2-piece mahogany body back, and a one-piece mahogany neck. Finished in a classic Cherry Sunburst, the striking flame maple is complemented by a vibrant burst that gives the instrument exceptional visual appeal. Compared to previous regular-production Cherry Sunburst models, this example features a noticeably brighter outer red edge, resulting in a particularly eye-catching vintage-inspired finish. The slim neck profile was faithfully recreated by measuring an original 1960 vintage guitar, delivering the fast, comfortable feel associated with early-'60s instruments. The neck set angle has also been revised from the standard 4.5 degrees to 3.8 degrees to further capture vintage playing characteristics. The neck joint is precision-machined using CNC equipment before being individually hand-fitted by Tokai's skilled craftsmen. The fit is so precise that the neck can remain securely seated without glue before assembly, making it possible to use traditional hide glue construction for maximum resonance and efficient vibration transfer.A matched set of GOTOH PAF-Vintage MK2 humbuckers provides the guitar's classic voice. Faithfully recreating the character of vintage PAF pickups
