From the listing
A used 1965 Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red from the current American Vintage II model line has arrived! The American Vintage II series faithfully reproduces the innovative electric guitars and basses that changed the history of music. Featuring a body shape, neck, and hardware configuration that faithfully reflect the specifications of the era, along with a premium finish and pickups voiced for each specific era with meticulous attention to detail, this guitar encapsulates the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone. The 1965 Stratocaster is often referred to as a “transitional” model, with various specifications differing between pre- and post-1965 versions. It was well on its way to establishing itself as one of rock’s greatest electric guitars. The defining feature of the 1965 Stratocaster is its 1965 “C”-shaped maple neck paired with a round laminated rosewood fingerboard featuring oversized pearl dot inlays. The round fingerboard produces a rich, deep tone that blends the full-bodied, mellow sound of rosewood with the crisp, clear sound of maple. It also features other authentic details, such as an 11-hole 3-ply white pickguard, a Transition logo with oversized lettering, and a “Gray Bottom” Pure Vintage 1965 pickup set. While there are signs of light wear overall, it plays perfectly fine. Please consider this guitar.
