We’ve just received a used American Performer Telecaster! Manufactured at the Corona, California, factory, the American Performer Telecaster features the authentic tone and feel unique to USA-made Fender, along with modern specifications throughout that inspire performance and take it to a whole new level. This model is equipped with two Yosemite™ single-coil pickups—developed specifically for the American Performer series—that deliver a rich, expressive tone. The Yosemite™ pickups feature a staggered, non-chamfered pole-piece design that delivers high output; the front pickup is potted in shellac solution and the rear pickup in wax, effectively suppressing feedback while producing a dynamic sound. Additionally, the American Performer Telecaster features a Greasebucket™ tone circuit that attenuates low frequencies appropriately when the tone control is turned down, preventing muddiness in the sound. The Modern C-shaped neck with a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard is equipped with 22 jumbo frets, allowing for smooth and precise bending. There is some rust on the saddle, tarnish on the metal parts, and minor scuffs and pickguard wear, but no major or noticeable damage. It has been cleaned, fully adjusted, and had its frets leveled since arrival.
