The top-of-the-line model in Yamaha's SG series. Manufactured in 1987, this is the “SG3000 Custom,” the top-of-the-line model in Yamaha’s iconic SG series. Featuring a maple top and mahogany back, along with a three-piece maple and mahogany through-neck construction, it produces a rich, resonant sustain. The Bi-Sound System (coil tap) allows for a wide range of sound customization. The luxurious gold hardware, characteristic of a top-of-the-line model, along with the binding and inlays, remains in excellent condition even after several decades; this is truly a legendary instrument beloved by artists both in Japan and abroad. Overall, there are scratches, dents, tarnished metal parts, peeling plating, and a crack in the back panel. The frets have been dressed and have approximately 7/10 of their original height remaining; the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
