From the listing
Eric Clapton’s signature model, “Blackie,” featuring an active mid-boost. This is a black model manufactured in 2007. It features an alder body paired with a maple neck and maple fingerboard, along with a soft V-shaped neck, a 9.5-inch radius, and 22 frets. It combines an easy-to-grip neck shape with comfortable playability. It is equipped with three Vintage Noiseless pickups, which deliver a clear, Stratocaster-like sound while minimizing noise. Furthermore, it features a TBX tone control and an active mid-boost circuit capable of up to 25 dB of boost, enabling a wide range of tones—from sparkling clean tones to thick, gritty lead sounds. Just like when it left the factory, using the tremolo unit in a fixed position ensures stable tuning and rich sustain. Its high versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of genres—from blues and rock to others—is another major appeal. This long-selling model combines the ease of play characteristic of a Stratocaster with the powerful sound unique to the Clapton model. The date stamp on the neck pocket is slightly smudged, but “JUN 16” is still legible. A date sticker reading “7-30-07” can be seen on the pickguard. The mounting screws for the pickguard and back panel have been replaced with metric screws. The tremolo arm is missing. The truss rod has limited adjustment range in the opposite direction of the neck’s natural bow. The neck is off-center, resulting in limited clearance on the high frets of the 6th string; however, this cannot be corrected because there is no adjustment range in the neck pocket. There is a dent on the neck. In addition, there are scattered scratches and dents, giving the instrument a slightly used appearance. The frets show signs of wear, but there are no issues with playability at this time. Condition Grade: B: Shows significant scratches and signs of use, but is suitable for normal use Serial Number: SZ7077186 Year of Manufacture: 2007 Country of Manufacture: United States Case: Ha
