From the listing
A 1977 Fender Precision Bass (PJ Mod) has arrived! This 1977 Precision Bass features an ash body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. It has been modified to a PJ configuration with two volume controls and one tone control, featuring an added rear pickup. Front pickup: Gray bobbin, marked “173277” (presumed to be a genuine original manufactured around August 1977) Added rear pickup: Black bobbin, pickup model unknown "0101-5073" marked on the neck; "3371" marked on the body. The serial number on the pickguard is S756202; although this differs from the number on the headstock, we have determined that it is indeed a 1977 model. There is paint chipping on the top of the headstock. There are dents all over the body, particularly on the sides. The fingerboard has damage from the 3rd to 4th frets and from the 7th to 8th frets. In addition, the metal parts show rust and tarnish, and the instrument overall exhibits numerous dents, dings, chipped paint, and dirt, giving it a well-used appearance. Since its arrival, the frets have been leveled, the wiring repaired, the pickup sponges replaced, and the instrument has undergone a full setup. Condition Grade: B: Shows significant wear and signs of use, but is suitable for normal use. Serial Number: S7 59522 Year of Manufacture: 1977 Country of Manufacture: United States Case: Hard Case Weight: 4.37 kg Truss Rod: No issues; rod movement confirmed up to 60 degrees in both directions with no problems Fret Wear: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String height (low-string side): 2.5 mm at the 12th fret String Action (Treble Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: 42.00 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 22.47 mm Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 25.00 mm Scale: 864 mm (34") RADIUS: 184 mm (7.25") Strings at Setup: D'Addario EXL165 / .045-.105 set Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, action adjustment, fr
