The origins of the Japanese SG: The YAMAHA SG-7AS 30th Anniversary Black, a model that brings its aesthetic to the present day Rooted in the original SG shape, the “SG-7AS,” this is a special, limited-edition model produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary. The body firmly supports the SG’s signature, resonant tone while delivering the just-right string tension and comfortable playability unique to a medium scale. The original pickups cover a wide range of tones, from clean sounds with clear definition to driven tones with a rich, full-bodied character, allowing you to fully appreciate the classic character of a vintage Japanese-made SG. The parts show some discoloration and minor rust, and the body has several small dents accompanied by dents and paint cracks. There are also general scuffs and small dents throughout the guitar.
