The American Standard Series features DiMarzio HS-4 (DP217) pickups in both the front and rear positions, incorporating modern specifications throughout while retaining the classic look of yesteryear. This is a Fender USA American Standard Stratocaster, manufactured in 1999.It features an ash body, a one-piece maple neck, 22 frets, a two-point tremolo system with block saddles, and a “Full-UP” type control layout (Volume, Front Tone, Delta Tone—combining Center and Rear Tone controls). The center pickup is original, and it includes Schaller-compatible strap pins, a Micro-Tilt system, and a headstock-mounted truss rod (BiFlex) adjustment. The American Standard model, which retains the classic Stratocaster character while featuring a 9.5R fingerboard and 22 frets, is a favorite among many players, offering excellent playability and a versatile sound. The selector cap has been replaced, and the strap pins are brand-new (the originals were compatible with Schaller lock pins).Signs of use are visible (color fading, sticker marks on the body back and backplate, minor scratches and scuffs around the headstock and along the body’s outer edges, scuffs and wipe marks, picking marks, peeling paint on the position marks, unevenness in the paint on the “skunk stripe” area on the back of the neck, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts, etc.).
