While the Hybrid II series typically uses alder even for the natural finish, we’ve specially created this ash-bodied model exclusively for Ishibashi FSR. The finish is natural, allowing you to fully appreciate the beauty of the wood grain. The tight bass and rich overtones unique to ash wood bring out the true sound of the Jazz Bass. Packed with the Hybrid II’s modern specs and playability, this is a truly “practical” instrument! The Made in Japan Hybrid II series is truly worthy of the name “Hybrid,” retaining its vintage look while incorporating versatile modern specifications that suit any player or musical genre. We’ve achieved an instrument that combines playability and tone—suitable for any guitarist or bassist, whether playing rhythm or lead— through the globally beloved “Made in Japan” series. The Hybrid II Jazz Bass is equipped with the new Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil pickups featuring staggered pole pieces, and a sustain block is mounted beneath the vintage-style bridge.
