We have received a used Fender Traditional 70s Jazz Bass (Natural). This is part of the Traditional series, designed to emulate Jazz Basses from the mid-to-late 1970s. It features an ash body and a maple fingerboard. The combination of a natural finish, block inlays, and a bound neck gives it a look that perfectly captures the essence of a ’70s Jazz Bass. Although it’s somewhat heavy, this contributes to its solid low end and rich sustain. It also features a 3-bolt neck plate, faithfully reproducing the details of the era. Another distinctive feature of this model is the rear pickup positioned closer to the bridge—a hallmark of ’70s-era designs. It produces well-defined, tight bass tones and clear, projecting highs, allowing you to fully enjoy the crisp response resulting from the combination of the ash body and maple fingerboard. The truss rod functions properly. Regarding the exterior, there is a dent approximately 0.5 cm in size near the area between the control jack and the bridge. Additionally, there are 5–6 dents, each approximately 0.2–0.3 cm in size, on the top of the headstock.There is a dent of about 0.5 cm on the back of the neck near the 9th fret, and dents and scratches are scattered across the sides and back of the body. Additionally, the tuning pegs show some discoloration. While it shows signs of use, it is in good playing condition. We highly recommend this instrument to anyone looking for a 1970s-style Jazz Bass that offers excellent value for the price.
