A high-end guitar with versatile capabilities at a high level A truly professional guitar that meets the demands of studio musicians 1. Deeper top and back contours for a more integrated playing experience To ensure a natural fit when holding the guitar, the back contour has been deepened, and the top contour (where the elbow rests) has been changed from a straight contour to a rounded one, improving the fit and comfort for the arm. 2. Slim C Shape Designed for Modern Playing Styles Incorporating feedback from many players in both Japan and the U.S., we’ve adopted a Slim C-shaped neck that accommodates a wide range of styles, from lead to rhythm. The “Standard Plus” model features a 42.00mm TUSQ nut. The roll-off on the sides of the fingerboard is precision-machined, and the neck thickness is set to 20.00mm at the 1st fret and 22.4mm at the 12th fret. This design ensures stress-free playing for both open chords and power chords, delivering exceptional playability. A compound radius is a highly precise conical fingerboard profile in which the R value of the fingerboard gradually increases from the low positions to the high positions (the R becomes more gradual—meaning it is rounder in the low positions and flatter as you move toward the high positions). This design helps prevent choking sounds during bending in the high positions and is recommended for players who prefer a lower string action. 3. The “Reflectone” Hi-Fi Pickup, Developed in Collaboration with Rupert Neve Design Developed and manufactured in-house by Yamaha in collaboration with Rupert Neve Design—founded by Rupert Neve, the man behind numerous legendary pro audio instruments—this pickup utilizes Alnico V magnets. By conducting research and development from the ground up on the number of windings, winding method, and pole piece height, Yamaha has created a highly balanced pickup that combines powerful low-end with “sparkling” high-end. 4.
