From the listing
A high-end guitar with versatile capabilities at a high level A truly professional guitar that meets the demands of studio musicians 1. Deeper top and back contours for a more seamless playing experience To ensure a natural, comfortable fit when holding the guitar, the back contour has been deepened, and the top contour (where the elbow rests) has been changed from a straight contour to a rounded one, improving the fit and comfort for the arm. 2. Slim C Shape Designed for Modern Playing Styles Incorporating feedback from many players in both Japan and the U.S., we’ve adopted a Slim C-shaped neck that accommodates a wide range of styles, from lead to rhythm. The “Standard Plus” model features a 42.00mm TUSQ nut. The fingerboard side roll-off is precision-machined, and the neck thickness is set to 20.00mm at the 1st fret and 22.4mm at the 12th fret. This design ensures stress-free playing for both open chords and power chords, delivering exceptional playability. The Professional series features a compound radius. A compound radius is a high-precision tapered fretboard profile in which the R-value of the fretboard gradually increases from the lower to the higher positions (the R becomes more gradual—meaning the fretboard is rounder in the lower positions and flatter as you move up to the higher positions). This design helps prevent choking sounds during bends in the higher positions and is recommended for players who prefer a lower string action. 3. The “Reflectone” Hi-Fi Pickup, Developed in Collaboration with Rupert Neve Design Developed and manufactured in-house by Yamaha in collaboration with Rupert Neve Design—founded by Rupert Neve, the man behind numerous legendary pro audio devices—this pickup utilizes Alnico V magnets. By conducting extensive research and development from the ground up on the number of windings, winding method, and pole piece height, Yamaha has created a highly balanced pickup that combines powerful low-end with “sparkling” high-end.
