One of YAMAHA’s flagship acoustic guitar models, the FG9R—featuring an Adirondack spruce top paired with Indian rosewood sides and back—has arrived in our used inventory! The body is entirely solid, and thanks to its proprietary scalloped X-bracing and bolt-on neck joint, it delivers a dynamic, resonant sound! The simple yet charming design details scattered throughout the instrument are a unique feature of Japanese handcrafted guitars! An additional strap pin has been installed at the neck joint since the guitar arrived. There are scattered scratches, small dents, and paint reaction marks throughout the body; however, thanks to the natural finish, most of the signs of wear are only clearly visible when held up to the light. The remaining bridge saddle height, measured from the bridge base, is approximately 2.0 mm on the 6th string side and approximately 1.5 mm on the 1st string side. Additionally, perhaps due to some slight indentation in the top around the bridge base, the string action is quite low, making it easy to press the strings down with minimal effort.
