Seller's description

The Paul Gilbert signature model “PGM50” from Ibanez, featuring exceptional playability and a wide range of sounds! This latest signature model carries on the legacy of the PGM series—which epitomizes the playing style of Paul Gilbert, who continues to captivate guitarists around the world—while pursuing the practicality and comfortable playability demanded by today’s players. The body is crafted from American basswood, known for its natural and flat acoustic characteristics. The sleek black body and headstock are accented with cream-colored binding, beautifully balancing the sharp, refined look that ties the entire design together with the luxurious feel of gold hardware. The neck features a 5-piece maple/walnut construction that combines natural resonance with excellent rigidity. The rosewood fingerboard, which imparts a rich, warm midrange, is paired with medium frets featuring the “Premium Fret Edge Treatment”—a result of skilled craftsmanship—ensuring stress-free fingering from technical fast playing to wide stretches. The pickups feature “DiMarzio Air Classic” models mounted in the front and rear positions, which use Airbacker Technology to reproduce the vintage humbucker tone of the late 1950s. The HSH layout also includes a “DiMarzio PGM” single-coil in the center position, offering high-end clarity and body that won’t get lost even when blended with the humbuckers. Simple controls—a single volume knob and a 5-way selector switch—enable intuitive and versatile tone shaping. In addition to the “F106 Bridge (10.5mm pitch)”—a hardtail design featuring independent saddles for precise setup—the guitar is equipped with “Gotoh MG-T Locking Machine Heads,” which boast quick string changes and excellent tuning stability. This instrument embodies an iconic look that stands out on stage, combined with rugged functionality you can rely on in any live setting.
