From the listing
The HR-85 was created as hide's signature model. Featuring the distinctive HR body silhouette, this set-neck guitar combines a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard, with a 628mm scale length and 22 frets. This model is known for having been released in 2002 as a limited edition of 500 units, based on the HR shape that hide was developing as his new signature model. This particular instrument has a serial number beginning with “FG” and is believed to have been manufactured around 2005; a notable feature is the omission of the “hide” logo on the headstock, which is typically found on standard HR-85 models. It is believed to be one of a small number of units produced with slightly modified specifications after the HR-85 sold out, making it a guitar with specifications distinct from those of the standard limited-edition models. It is equipped with vinyl-wired pickups, though no model numbers or other markings are visible on any of them. The control layout is simple, featuring one volume knob, a 3-way pickup selector, and a direct switch. The HR’s unique design stands out beautifully against the natural-colored body, making this model highly recommended not only for hide fans but also for anyone seeking a guitar with a distinctive look. There are several dents visible on the back of the body. There are also some minor scratches and dents, but no particularly noticeable damage. The neck shows a slight forward bow on the 6th string side and some twisting. It is currently in good playing condition. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: FG05044331 Year of Manufacture: 2005 Case: Genuine soft case Weight: 4.04 kg Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right—no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret String Action (Treble Side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: 41.0
