From the listing
One of the guitars from the Heritage series manufactured in the early 1980s. An extremely rare 1982 Gibson Moderne Heritage Korina. The “Moderne,” a variant developed around 1958 alongside the Flying V and Explorer, is a legendary model. Although designed in the 1950s, it was never put into production and is often referred to as a “phantom guitar.” It features a Korina body, a three-piece Korina neck, and a rosewood fingerboard, along with a distinctive headstock shape, gold hardware, and headstock logo.It is equipped with “stamped numbered PAF” pickups (PotDate: R1378229/1378029/-). Even when the gain is turned up, the sound remains clear without distortion, offering excellent separation where each note is distinctly audible. Combined with the lightweight Korina body, this guitar delivers a vintage sound characterized by a rich, mellow tone. The handle on the hard case has been replaced with a replacement part. There are scratches and dents on the headstock and body perimeter, paint chips around the tuning pegs, and weather cracks throughout; however, considering its age, it remains in fairly good condition. It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod has been tested to 60 degrees in both directions and is in good working order. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: E082 Year of Manufacture: 1982 Country of Manufacture: United States Case: Hard Case Weight: 3.51 kg Truss Rod: No issues; rod movement confirmed up to 60 degrees in both directions with no problems Fret Wear: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing Nut width: 43.6 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 21.3 mm Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 24.6 mm Scale: 628 mm (24.75") Radius: 305 mm (12") Strings at Setup: ERNIE BALL 2221 / .010-.046 set Repairs and M
