We’ve just received a used Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass “AJB-58 Black”! The Aerodyne series, an original Fender Japan line, is now discontinued. This model has been popular since its debut and features a stylish look that sets it apart from the standard Jazz Bass, combining a flowing, curved top reminiscent of an aircraft with a slim body and binding. Featuring a PJ pickup configuration, it offers the signature playability of a Jazz Bass while also delivering a richer, fuller sound. The unique playing comfort provided by the thinner body and smooth top shape is another charm exclusive to the Aerodyne. Regarding its condition, the 2nd string tuner is slightly stiff, and the tuners show some tarnish. The body exhibits dents under the bridge, on the side near the controls, near the strap pins, on the back of the neck near the 12th fret, and on the headstock; overall, it shows signs of use. The truss rod is in good working order.
