Gibson Moderne Heritage The Moderne, which was scheduled for release alongside the Flying V and Futura (Explorer)—both featuring innovative body shapes introduced in 1958—but ultimately became a phantom model The Moderne was recreated in 1982–83 based on the original blueprints The body is made of three-piece Corina wood. The neck is also constructed from three-piece Corina wood. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. The headstock features the distinctive "spatula" design, and roller-style string guides prevent the strings from interfering with each other. It is equipped with an engraved, numbered PAF pickup The pickup cover has been removed once and re-soldered. Given the era, the bobbin likely features a T-shape. These pickups have become quite rare nowadays.
