The 2019 Gibson Historic Collection 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue has arrived!! The Historic Collection, crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop as a “reissue series of legendary instruments,” represents a top-tier lineup created with meticulous attention to detail. The ES-335, introduced in 1958, is Gibson’s flagship semi-acoustic guitar model. Since its debut, it has undergone numerous minor refinements, and the model we’ve received faithfully reproduces the 1959 ES-335. It faithfully recreates the characteristics of that era, including a thick, “fat” neck typical of the ’50s and a long pickguard. While it shows signs of use—such as scratches, dents, and some tarnish or rust on parts—it has been inspected and fully adjusted by our specialist repair team upon arrival and is in excellent playing condition. Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: A99123 Year of Manufacture: 2019 Country of Manufacture: USA Case: Genuine hard case Accessories: Certificate of Authenticity, Pre-Pack Checklist (7/31/19), Owner’s Manual, 4 tags Weight: 3.9 kg Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret String Action (Treble Side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: 43.4 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 23.6 mm Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 26.6 mm Scale: 628 mm (24.75") RADIUS: 305 mm (12") Strings at Setup: ERNIE BALL 2221 / .010-.046 set Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, action adjustment, fret leveling * As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
