The Chet Atkins SST in HCS colors—a rare find in Japan—has arrived! The Chet Atkins SST (Steel String) has arrived. It was manufactured in 1998. This is a later-model version featuring minor changes, such as the removal of the faux soundhole and the return to a standard headstock shape with star inlays. The finish color is Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Since Antique Natural is the standard on the domestic used market, this finish color may be somewhat rare. Its greatest advantage lies in its unique core structure, which is built with a design close to a solid-body guitar—without a soundhole or chambering—allowing it to produce an acoustic-like sound while avoiding feedback and howling.
