From the listing
A signature model by Joe Perry, guitarist for Aerosmith. Manufactured in 1998, this Joe Perry signature model features a black burst finish that reveals the maple grain beneath, paired with black hardware and pearloid parts. Unlike Les Pauls that compete for flashiness, its allure lies in a mysterious, substantial look that becomes even more striking the moment it’s bathed in stage lights. Based on Joe Perry’s beloved instrument, it features a powerful grip and is equipped with a 57 Classic pickup in the front and a signature pickup in the rear, delivering a gritty, tenacious rock sound. While staying true to the classic Les Paul design, this practical guitar has been refined in Joe Perry’s signature style—dark, sharp, and full of allure. The tuning pegs have been replaced, and the controls have been rewired to standard Les Paul configuration. The wiring, capacitor, pots, and front pickup lead wire have been replaced; the control knobs and strap pins have been swapped for locking pins. Overall, there are scratches, dents, paint chips, dulling of the finish, some tarnish on metal parts, a crack in the truss rod cover, and signs of rust. The frets have been filed down and have about 7/10 of their original height remaining; the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable. The hard case has a slight odor. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: 91528346 Year of Manufacture: 1998 Country of Manufacture: USA Case: Genuine hard case Accessories: Locking pin Weight: 4.55 kg Truss Rod: No issues; rod movement tested up to 60 degrees in both directions with no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret String action (treble side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: 42.0 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 22.6 mm Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 26.1 mm Scale: 628 mm (24.75") RADIUS: 305 m
