A high-end Morris Dreadnought-style guitar has arrived in our used inventory! A truly luxurious instrument released around 1978–1981. The body features a solid spruce top, solid rosewood sides, and a solid three-piece rosewood back, with non-scalloped X-bracing in the Dreadnought style. The neck is made of mahogany, while the fingerboard and bridge are crafted from “Shimakokutan”—a type of ebony commonly used at the time. The fingerboard features hexagonal inlays made of Mexican mother-of-pearl, and Mexican mother-of-pearl is also used for the body binding and rosette. The tuning pegs were replaced with Shallow Rotomatic-style pegs upon arrival. There are scattered scratches and dents throughout the instrument; in particular, there are dents accompanied by paint chipping around the neck grip, but these do not currently pose any major issues for playing.
