From the listing
The Historic Collection, crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop as part of the "Historic Masterpiece Reissue Series," represents a lineup of the highest caliber, created with meticulous attention to detail. This is the Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1958 Les Paul Reissue VOS, built in 2024. Featuring a VOS finish with a matte paint job and metal hardware that replicates the patina of age, this guitar boasts an atmospheric look. It has a subdued plain maple top, a non-wired ABR bridge and tailpiece, and is equipped with Custombuckers bearing “PAF” stickers. Featuring the ’58 neck profile—which many players say is actually easier to play due to its rounded shape—this guitar showcases a finish with a subtle, vintage character. Its appeal lies in its tight low end and a robust rock sound that really pushes forward with impact. Originally finished in the VOS (Vintage Original Finish) style with intentionally weathered parts, it shows slight signs of use (such as scuffs, wipe marks, and some bleeding into the aniline-dyed binding), but is otherwise in good condition. It was fully set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod has been tested to 60 degrees on both sides and is in good working order. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: 841649 Year of Manufacture: 2024 Country of Manufacture: USA Case: Hard Case Accessories: Instruction manual, certificate of authenticity Weight: 4.12 kg Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playability Neck Profile: 50s Rounded Medium C Nut width: 42.7 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 22.6 mm Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 25.4 mm Scale: 625 mm (24.6") Radius: 254 mm (10") Strings at Setup: ERNIE B
