A sleek look paired with a solid, rock-driven tone... A battle-tested Les Paul Custom equipped with Shaw PAF pickups A 1982 Les Paul Custom. In addition to classic, high-end features such as a mahogany back and maple top, ebony fingerboard, and multi-binding, this guitar features a mahogany neck. It offers solid rigidity and a tight response, with rich sustain and a full-bodied tone born from its substantial body. It’s not just about its dignified appearance—it also possesses reliable potential from a player’s perspective. It is equipped with the so-called “Shaw PAF” pickups, featuring the “PAT.NO.” engraving. The front (392) and rear (393) pickups form an authentic pair, creating a configuration true to the era. Designed to avoid excessive high power, they excel in fast attack and excellent separation, delivering a lustrous, deep tone in clean settings and, when driven, a balance of resilient mids and clear projection. This produces a practical sound that won’t get lost even in a band ensemble. The Nashville bridge and sturdy hardware ensure stable pitch and playability, while retaining the substantial look and presence unique to the Les Paul Custom. This is not merely a collector’s item; it truly reveals its true value only when played extensively. With its looks, sound, and historical context blending seamlessly, this is an instrument that appeals to both players and collectors alike. There are signs of repair on the back of the headstock that appear to be touch-ups; while we cannot be certain, it is believed to be a repair for either the finish or a minor crack in the wood—not a broken neck. The body binding has shrunk, creating a slight step between it and the finish. There is some paint chipping on the back of the headstock near the 4th string tuner. Additionally, there are signs of wear, including overall discoloration, scratches, dents, and tarnished or rusted parts. The neck is in good condition, and the instrument plays well. Condition Grade: B: Sh
