From the listing
A high-end model that combines the lightness and strength of mahogany Among the Cat’s Eyes series produced by Tokai Gakki in the 1970s, the CE-1200M is positioned as a top-of-the-line model. Featuring an all-solid construction with a spruce top and mahogany sides and back, it is an authentic instrument based on the so-called D-18 style. It combines the rich volume characteristic of a Dreadnought with the quick attack and crisp clarity unique to mahogany, delivering a clear, well-defined sound when strummed and a delicate, well-defined expression when played with the fingers. The mellow tone developed over time—a mature, refined resonance not found in current models—is another of its charms. Combined with classic features such as the torch-inlay headstock and the ebony fingerboard and bridge, this guitar offers a highly polished finish in both appearance and sound. It stands out among Japanese-made acoustic guitars for its exceptional craftsmanship and is highly recommended for those who want to fully appreciate the simple, authentic sound of mahogany. There are signs of wear, such as scratches and dents, throughout the instrument. It has been fully set up, including a neck adjustment, and the neck is in excellent condition; it plays very well. Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but they do not affect normal use Serial Number: 732477 Case: Hard Case Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.5 mm at the 12th fret String Action (Treble Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: 43.5 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 21.3 mm Scale: 642 mm (25.27") RADIUS: 305 mm (12") Strings at Setup: D'Addario EJ-16 / .012-.053 set Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, action adjustment, and leveling * As this is a used item, there may be scratch
