From the listing
Based on the serial number and other details, we’ve just received a 1979 Gibson ES-345TDSV in Wine Red! First released in 1959 as a higher-end model of the ES-335, it features more luxurious specifications such as gold hardware, multi-layer binding on the body top, and split parallelogram inlays. It is also known for being a favorite among blues and rock ’n’ roll guitarists such as B.B. King, Freddie King, and Chuck Berry. Another defining feature of the ES-345 is its baritone switch and stereo output. The model we’ve just received was manufactured in 1979 and features a laminated maple body, a 3-piece maple neck typical of that era, and a rosewood fingerboard. It is equipped with two “stamped numbered PAF” pickups. It produces an easy-to-play tone that combines sweetness and a mature, aged quality with clarity and crispness. The date stamps read: Front Pickup: JAN 26 1979, Bridge Pickup: FEB 19 1979—both indicate they were manufactured in 1979. The original nut was misaligned, so we have corrected its position. While there are some scratches, dents, wear on the finish, and weather checking, it remains in quite good condition considering its age. It still retains the stereo output configuration, which is often modified. One latch on the case has been repaired. This is a highly authentic instrument in excellent condition. Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity. * Please note that due to the nature of this product, we are unable to transfer it between stores.
