A special Historic-spec custom ES-335 produced during the final days of the Memphis factory. This is one of the "Memphis Historic Series" models crafted at the Gibson Memphis factory, which closed in 2018 to much regret. This series was available for only a very short time following the discontinuation of the Nashville Historic Collection, and it boasts a high level of craftsmanship that could be described as the "Historic Series" dedicated to semi-hollow body guitars. The elegant grain, which shimmers subtly depending on the angle, is beautiful and exudes a vintage-like sense of luxury distinct from flashiness. It is equipped with Kluson tuners—the double-knob, single-line style known from models dating from the late 1960s onward. The neck features a slim taper profile that offers excellent playability, allowing you to fully enjoy the light, responsive feel characteristic of early ES-335s. This model deliberately incorporates this routing to fully enhance the body resonance. The model designation on the certificate of authenticity is "HS18CO4NH1." With the closure of the Memphis factory, this is a rare ES-335 that allows you to fully appreciate the unique character of the “final-era Memphis Historic”—a model that will never be produced again. The nut has been replaced, and there is some fading of the ne
