From the listing
A rare Les Paul Custom from the 1990s "Historic Collection" has arrived. The "Historic Collection" boasts a long-standing legacy as a reissue model from the 1950s—often referred to as the golden age—and continues to this day. This 1996 model is a rare three-pickup Les Paul Custom built to 1957 specifications. Faithfully recreating the specifications of that era, it features a one-piece mahogany body and an ebony fingerboard, delivering a tight, fast-attacking sound characterized by mid to high-mid frequencies. With its jet-black finish and gold hardware, this is a masterpiece that allows you to fully experience the elegant beauty of the vintage Les Paul Custom—truly deserving of the name “Black Beauty.” Equipped with 57Classic pickups, it faithfully captures the nuances of your picking and produces a delicate, deep tone. The endpin screw and selector knob have been replaced; there are overall scratches, dents, some dulling of the finish, and tarnish and rust on the metal parts. The frets have more than 70% of their original depth remaining, the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
