This Historic Reissue recreates the 1963-spec SG Custom—the last year the “Les Paul” name was used and the first year the Long Maestro Vibrola was adopted. It features the lavish design elements characteristic of a top-of-the-line model, including split diamond inlays, multi-ply binding, and three pickups. It combines a mahogany body with a mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard; the neck features a long tenon and hide glue construction. The 60s SlimTaper profile and a 12-inch radius fingerboard ensure smooth playability. It is equipped with three Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups. The control layout features two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way selector switch, offering the traditional configuration of front pickup only, center + rear, and rear pickup only.
