A 2022 Japan Limited Edition Murphy Lab 1954 LP! The 2022 Japan Limited-spec Murphy Lab Collection 1954 Les Paul Standard Reissue has arrived. (Gibson Custom Murphy Lab Collection 1954 Les Paul Standard Reissue Light Aged Double Gold Lower Logo Japan Limited 2022) The aged variation features a light-aged finish in a double gold color. The body top and headstock top feature fine, elegant cracks. Additionally, areas such as the body back and sides, as well as the neck grip and the back of the headstock, feature deep, bold cracks that make a striking impression. Key Details, Specifications, and Materials ・Lower Logo: The Gibson logo is positioned lower, as was common on Les Paul Standards from the 1950s “Gold Top” era ・Neck Grip: Neck profile of the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue (Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape, 50s Rounded Medium C) ・Frets: 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue fret size (Authentic Medium-Jumbo) ・Pickup selector switch plate: Les Paul model 70th Anniversary Custom Shop medallion (1952–2022) Overall Condition Regarding the condition rating, due to the nature of Murphy Lab’s “Light Aged” finish, we have rated it B+ (there are some minor scratches, but they do not pose a problem for normal use). As it is a recent model, it is in clean condition. Furthermore, there are no signs of heavy wear on the frets or elsewhere, nor are there any indications of rough handling. There are no irregularities in the solder work on the controls, and there are no signs of tampering, so it is in original condition, including the pickups. No other hardware has been replaced either, so it is in excellent, reliable condition with all original parts intact. Since standard Custom Shop Double Gold Les Paul Reissues (1954, 1956, 1957) come with smaller frets (narrow-tall size) by default, finding a used model that retains its factory-original medium-jumbo frets is a rare opportunity. Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: 4
