Seller's description

The "Modern Deluxe" combines the traditional D-18 sound with modern responsiveness and playability. This is a top-of-the-line Martin model that combines a vintage-inspired look with advanced specifications. The top features VTS (Vintage Tone System)-treated Sitka spruce, while the sides and back are crafted from mahogany. In addition to forward-shifted scalloped bracing, it incorporates features unique to the Modern Deluxe, such as a titanium truss rod, a carbon-fiber-reinforced bridge plate, and Liquidmetal bridge pins. While it possesses the powerful low end and dry tone characteristic of the classic D-18, it has a very quick attack with excellent harmonic richness and clarity. It delivers a powerful body resonance when strummed and faithfully captures even the most subtle nuances when played with the fingers. With a 1930s-style script logo, gold-colored EVO frets, and Waverly open-gear tuners, it boasts a high-quality appearance. This is a high-end D-18 that retains traditional Martin character while being updated for a modern playing experience. There is some slight clouding in the finish on the back of the body, but overall, there are few scratches or other imperfections, and it is in good condition. There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it plays perfectly.
