We’ve just received a used 2026 Historic Collection 1961 ES-335 Reissue VOS! The 1961 ES-335 Reissue features a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with a window-style center block, a mahogany neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard joined with hide glue. The “Skinny C-Shape” neck—which has a slimmer profile even among the current Custom Shop ES series—ensures excellent playability. It is equipped with Custombucker Alnico 3 (unpotted) pickups. The sound delivers a sweet, full-bodied tone with the airy quality typical of a hollow-body guitar, combined with vintage-like mellow nuances and rich harmonics, resulting in a sound with a fast attack and excellent projection. There are scattered fine scratches on the body, playwear on the pickguard, and some tarnish on the hardware; however, due to the VOS finish, these are not particularly noticeable. Combined with its year of manufacture, the guitar is in excellent condition. The neck is in excellent condition with virtually no fret wear, and all accessories are included. The fingerboard has a deep color, giving it a luxurious feel and a wonderful vintage-like character—this is a highly recommended instrument! * Please note that due to the nature of this product, we are unable to transfer it between stores.
