From the listing
Gibson’s iconic semi-acoustic model, the “ES-335 Dot Export,” has arrived. This classic ES-335 features traditional dot inlays and boasts a beautiful, deep “Heritage Cherry” finish. The body features a three-ply maple/poplar/maple construction, balancing the rich tone unique to semi-acoustic guitars with playability that rivals that of a solid-body guitar. The neck is made of mahogany, and the fingerboard is rosewood. It is equipped with two humbucker pickups bearing “PATENT APPLIED FOR” stickers; based on the specifications, these are believed to be Gibson ’57 Classic models. They offer vintage-like warmth and a lustrous midrange, handling a wide range of tones from clean to overdriven. The tuners are Kluson-style with “GIBSON DELUXE” engraved on them, and the bridge is a Gibson ABR-1. The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller locking pins; however, the locking parts on the strap side are missing. Additionally, this guitar features a slightly thicker neck profile, making it a great choice for players who prefer a solid, secure grip. The neck is in good condition, with no noticeable muting or buzzing that would interfere with playing. The truss rod has been tested to move up to 60 degrees in both directions, and there is still plenty of adjustment range remaining. The remaining fret wear is approximately 60%, with a height of roughly 1.0 mm to 1.15 mm. The exterior shows significant signs of wear overall, with numerous scratches, dents, and stains. Additionally, paint discoloration is visible on both sides of the headstock base, and there are traces on one side that appear to be the result of touch-up work. Overall, the condition offers a character typical of a used instrument that you can appreciate. Playability is excellent, and this guitar allows you to fully enjoy the rich body resonance and commanding sound characteristic of an ES-335. We encourage you to consider this opportunity.
