From the listing
A 2005 Gibson Memphis ES-175 has arrived in stock. Gibson Memphis began operations around 2000 and was responsible for producing Gibson’s semi-hollow models. Although the factory unfortunately closed in 2019, the Memphis-made ES-175 continues to enjoy enduring popularity. The body—top, back, and sides—is crafted from laminated figured maple with beautiful grain, while the neck is solid mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. The headstock is adorned with the Gibson logo and crown inlays, and the guitar is equipped with Kluson Gibson Deluxe Double Line/Single Ring tuners. The 20-fret bound neck features the double parallelogram inlays also found on the ES-345 and Southern Jumbo models, and the neck shape—neither too thin nor too thick—makes it extremely comfortable to play. It is equipped with two reliable “57 Classic” pickups and M-69 mounting rings. With a well-balanced frequency range—featuring rich mids, solid lows, and sparkling highs—this guitar is versatile enough to handle everything from jazz and funk to rock, depending on how you play it. Nickel hardware is used, including a Blanko tailpiece and a wired ABR-1. The rear volume knob has been replaced. Overall, there are some scratches and small dents from use, as well as some weather checking on the finish. Approximately 80% of the frets remain, and we have confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions. Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches, but no issues for normal use Serial Number: 00915726 Year of Manufacture: 2005 Country of Manufacture: USA Case: Hard Case Accessories: Pre-Pack Checklist (7/25/05) Weight: 3.31 kg Truss Rod: No issues; rod movement confirmed up to 60 degrees in both directions with no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret String Action (Treble Side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: 42.91 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 21.46 mm Scale:
