The LPC series was produced from 1998 to 2002 exclusively for the Japanese market; this is the LPC-80, which features a rosewood fingerboard. Like the Gibson Les Paul Custom reissued in 1968, it features a body construction with a maple top and back, and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, set into the body with a long tenon. It features a headstock designed to match the Gibson model, a truss rod cover stamped with “GIBSON,” and an ABR-1-style bridge, faithfully reproducing the look and specifications of the original. The pickguard is missing, and there is some discoloration and rust on the parts. There is paint chipping near the strap pin at the body end and at the top of the headstock, and there is an impact mark with a dent on the back of the body. There are also general scuffs and small dents throughout the instrument.
