Seller's description

Harking back to the pre-war iterations one of Martin's most influential guitars. During WW2, intense material rationing was mandated and the socio-economic impact of the aftermath meant that Martin had to scale back the more luxurious appointments of the D-28 (which became standardised in 1947) to save on cost both for the company and the customer; the Herringbone purfling and antique white binding and he 'Golden Era' scalloped 'X' bracing.  Until 1976 when the HD-28 was reintroduced into the Martin catalogue and has become a staple ever since. This left-handed model is a welcome addition to our ranks, boasting all of those high end appointments on top of the tried and true combination of it's solid Spruce sound board and two-piece Indian Rosewood back and sides. The forward shifted 'X' bracing allowing the lower bout to resonate more freely, accentuating its low mid-range  and creating a powerful, rich tonality.  It comes with it's original hard case and our two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price.  Feel free to get in touch for any further information via the contact form below!
