From the listing
Small but mighty! The LG-1 was a hugely successful instrument for Gibson between '48-'68. It targeted an eagerly awaiting market of musicians that required something portable, affordable and that punched well above its weight with its sound. These smaller bodied concert guitars, made up of a solid Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides were ladder braced (as opposed to their 'X' braced siblings) which helped produce a tighter, more focused sound that has a suprising amount of projection and low end. Making it a great accompaniament to the singing voice and easy to carry around! This particular model has seen some road and has had the necessary work done to keep it in fighting fit shape for the foreseeable; replacement tuners, a bridge doctor has been installed to help keep the top flat long term and a historic repair of a crack on the top and the back (pictured) but both repairs are stable. It comes complete with our two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price. Feel free to get in touch for any further information via the contact form below!
