Pre-Owned Epiphone Les Paul Standard – Tobacco Sunburst – Korea 2004 There's a reason players specifically go looking for Korean-made Epiphone Les Pauls from this era. The build quality from the Unsung factory in the early-to-mid 2000s has a reputation that's held up well, and this example shows why. This is a 2004 Unsung-made Epiphone Les Paul Standard in Tobacco Sunburst — and it's a good-looking guitar. The flame top catches the light nicely, the cream binding frames it cleanly, and the trapezoid inlays give it that proper Les Paul Standard look that cheaper or newer models don't always pull off as convincingly. It has everything you'd expect from a Les Paul Standard: twin humbuckers, Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, the classic 4-knob control layout, and Grover tuners. Nothing unusual, nothing missing — just a solid, familiar guitar that you can pick up and play straight away. What's It Like to Play? Korean Epiphone Les Pauls from this period tend to have a warmer, fuller feel than more recent budget alternatives — the necks are comfortable, the fretwork is generally decent, and the humbuckers have enough character to hold their own for rhythm work, blues lead, classic rock, and general gigging. Condition This guitar is in good pre-owned condition overall, with cosmetic signs of use consistent with its age. From the photos, the main things to be aware of are: General light surface marks and small scratches to the body and neck A more noticeable chip to the side of the body Light edge wear and small dings in places Finish wear in keeping with a used instrument from 2004 The top presents well and the guitar looks smart overall. It's a
