HD-28 Standard (2009) – Herringbone Rosewood Dreadnought – Good Condition This Martin HD-28 2009 — also searched as HD28 2009, Martin HD 28, used Martin HD-28, or second-hand Martin dreadnought — is a classic herringbone rosewood acoustic known for its powerful projection, rich overtones, and deep, full-bodied sound. Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the HD-28 delivers strong bass, warm mids, and clear, ringing trebles. Its scalloped X-bracing gives the guitar a more open and responsive character than the standard D-28, with excellent volume, sustain, and dynamic range. Traditional appointments include herringbone top trim, a zigzag backstrip, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and classic Style 28 dot inlays. The full-scale dreadnought body works especially well for strumming, flatpicking, accompaniment, and recording. This Martin HD-28 (2009) is in good condition with honest scratches and cosmetic signs of regular use. The guitar has good playability and sounds very good, offering the mature, resonant character expected from a well-played rosewood Martin.
