Seller's description

The Martin D-28 has earned its place as one of the most recognizable acoustic guitars ever built. From bluegrass stages to recording studios, its combination of power, warmth, and balance has made it the benchmark dreadnought for generations of players. Finished in Gloss 1935 Sunburst, this version adds a vintage-inspired look that feels every bit as timeless as the instrument itself, highlighting the spruce top with a beautifully aged appearance.  Built with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D-28 delivers the big, piano-like low end and rich overtones that players have chased for nearly a century. Martin's updated Standard Series appointments, including Golden Era scalloped forward-shifted bracing and the GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, give this iconic model even more responsiveness and comfort while preserving everything players have always loved about a D-28. Whether you're flatpicking, accompanying vocals, or simply enjoying one of the finest acoustic voices ever created, the D-28 remains the standard by which countless dreadnoughts are judged. Specs: D-14 fret dreadnought body size; solid spruce top; solid East Indian rosewood back and sides; dovetail neck joint construction; forward-shifted GE-scalloped spruce X-bracing with 5/16" braces; mahogany neck; GE Modified Low Oval neck profile with High-Performance taper; ebony fingerboard; 25.4" scale length; 1 3/4" bone nut width; 20 frets; mother of pearl Style 28 fingerboard inlays; ebony GE modern belly bridge with drop-in compensated bone saddle; bone bridge pins with faux tortoise dots; faux tortoise pickguard; nickel open gear tuners with butterbean buttons; Style 28 multi-stripe rosette; antique white binding.
