Seller's description

This Martin D-15S 12-Fret Dreadnought is a classic all-solid mahogany acoustic with genuine vintage appeal and character. The distinctive 12-fret neck joint positions the bridge in the guitar's resonant sweet spot, delivering powerful bass response and impressive volume alongside a warm, woody tone that's ideal for fingerstyle and singer-songwriters.  Built entirely from solid mahogany top, back, and sides, this instrument produces a compressed, punchy midrange with mellow highs that complement vocals beautifully. The all-mahogany construction is prized for its ability to handle heavy strumming without harshness or muddiness, making it forgiving and musical across a wide dynamic range. The slotted headstock is a hallmark of vintage design philosophy. The minimalist aesthetic reflects the D-15 series' philosophy—stripped-back elegance with a rich satin finish, abalone diamond and square inlays, and a simple rosette that lets the wood speak for itself. The 12-fret design brings the playing scale closer to the body for enhanced comfort and accessibility, paired with a modern 1 11/16" nut width and slim-profile neck for smooth, fast playability. This configuration is beloved by players who find standard 14-fret dreadnoughts unwieldy. A superb choice for experienced players seeking that deep, vintage acoustic voice with genuine Martin craftsmanship and tonal character that improves with age.
