Seller's description

There's something undeniably special about sinker mahogany. Recovered after decades beneath riverbeds, it delivers the warmth and depth of old-growth timber with a responsiveness that's difficult to replicate. Paired here with an Adirondack spruce top, this Custom Shop D-18-inspired build offers exceptional headroom, crisp articulation and the dry, woody character that flatpickers and fingerstylists chase. Built with traditional Style 18 appointments with the addition of a slotted headstock, this guitar keeps things understated and elegant. Brown faux tortoise binding, the classic Old Style 18 rosette and ebony fingerboard provide timeless looks, while the gloss body and satin GE Modified Low Oval neck offer a familiar, comfortable playing experience. Golden Age relic brass tuners complete the vintage aesthetic without feeling overdone. This is a slope shoulder dreadnought that rewards a confident right hand, delivering powerful projection, rich bass response and remarkable clarity across the entire register. Whether you're driving bluegrass rhythms, accompanying vocals or exploring intricate fingerstyle arrangements, it responds with effortless balance and musicality. A beautifully specified Martin Custom Shop instrument that combines vintage-inspired styling with some of the finest tonewoods available today.
