Seller's description

The Ibanez CS5 Chorus is a vintage analog chorus pedal from the classic Ibanez “5 Series,” produced in Japan during the mid-1980s. Known for its warm, lush modulation and high build quality, the CS5 delivers rich chorus textures that range from subtle thickening to wide, swirling modulation, making it a sought-after pedal among players who appreciate classic analog effects. Serial number 447246 identifies this unit as part of the original Japanese production run. The CS5 features a comprehensive control set that allows for detailed sound shaping. Speed adjusts the modulation rate, while Width controls the depth of the chorus effect. Delay Time sets the length of the modulated signal, offering anything from tight, doubling-style chorus to more spacious modulation. The Tone control shapes the overall brightness of the effect, making it easy to match different guitars and amplifiers. Together, these controls provide more flexibility than many simpler chorus pedals from the same era. Built with Ibanez’s well-known durability and smooth-switching design, the CS5 Chorus is valued for both its musical sound and its historical significance. It is closely associated with the warm, organic chorus tones of 1980s recordings and remains a desirable choice for players and collectors looking for an authentic vintage chorus pedal with character and depth.
