Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cutaway – Vintage Cherry, 2025 This is a superb example of the 2025 Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cutaway in Vintage Cherry, a beautifully executed modern interpretation of one of Gibson’s most characterful designs. The Special Double Cut takes the essential ingredients of the late-’50s and early-’60s original and presents them in a wonderfully straightforward, player-focused instrument: solid mahogany, a set mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and a pair of Gibson P-90 Soapbar pickups. It is a guitar with very little between the player and the sound. This particular example is in excellent condition and is only a few months old. It has seen just a small amount of careful use and is very close to new. We have given it a full workshop setup and it plays beautifully, with a lovely comfortable action and everything working exactly as it should. It comes complete with its original Gibson hard-shell case and all original paperwork. A fantastic opportunity to acquire a virtually new Gibson at a considerable saving over the cost of buying one new. The factory specification is wonderfully uncomplicated. The body is solid mahogany with the classic double-cutaway profile, giving excellent balance on the strap and superb access right up the fingerboard. The glued-in mahogany neck has Gibson’s comfortable SlimTaper profile and is paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets and acrylic dot inlays. The 24.75" scale length gives the guitar that familiar Gibson feel under the fingers. At the other end, Gibson has fitted its Vintage Deluxe tuners with white buttons and a Graph Tech nut, while the strings anchor through the traditional wraparound bridge. The bridge is bolted directly into the mahogany body, contributing to the excellent sustain and direct acoustic response for which this design is known.
